The Love Bridge - Ponts des Arts

Prior to my visit to Paris I’d heard rumors of a bridge where lovers went to eternalize their love by affixing padlocks to a bridge above the River Seine and throwing away the keys to represent their everlasting love.

So you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this bridge accidentally when crossing over from St Germain to the Palais des Arts on the Pont des Arts bridge.

As I walked across the bridge and stared at each and every lock, old and new, shiny or rusted, each lock represented two souls in love, and made my heart smile. Definitely something not to miss when in Paris and something to partake in if you are there with your eternal love.
