The Social Anthropologist

I am a traveller with a social conscience taking in the sights, sounds and tastes of different societies and cultures. This is what i have discovered along the way.

Israel

Tel Aviv

Neveh Tzedek

Offering some of the best shopping and culinary delights  in Tel Aviv, Neveh Tzedek historically was one of the poorest neighborhoods in the area but in recent years has seen a resurgence of chic style in the area. From the stunning jewelry on show by Agas and Tamar to the Jazz that emanates from The Nam Bar Neveh Tzedek is the place to be morning, noon and night.

If you are not familiar with the area, just head down Shalom Shabazi Street which is the main thoroughfare that everything is located on.  Try and get lost in the side streets with your camera and take in the colors from the faded and decrepeit movie Theatre to the bright purple hibiscus flowers, Neveh Tzedek’s architecture ranges from archaic Ottomon Empire buildings to White Bauhaus design. Old school meets new school Tel Aviv at its best.
