Montauk

Restaurants

South Edison  - Just two blocks north of the beach set in the middle of town South Edison reflects Montauk’s cool and casual atmosphere. Chef Todd Mitgang, formerly of Crave Ceviche Bar and Kittichai in NYC offers a delicious menu of traditional beach fare with a creative twist including a raw bar and plenty of seafood. - 17S Edison Street 6684200 www.southedison.com

Ruschmeyers Restaurant- The latest addition to Montauk’s gastronomy scene, Ruschmeyers evokes memories of a summer camp lodge with sprawling lawns, tepees and ping pong tables. Partnering with Ben Towill and Phil Winser of famed NYC restaurant the Fat Radish the restaurant serves dishes like White clam Pizza with chili parsley and chilled lobster salad with shaved fennel and local lettuce. The menu embraces seasonal summer produce and the best locally sourced seafood. In addition to the dinner menu, every morning breakfast is available at the hotel’s breakfast nook (run by the legendary, Floyd), with fresh made avocado on toast, banana bread, yoghurt with seasonal fruit and granola, and coffee by Jack’s Coffee. With an outside bar, nineteen rooms, a dance floor (located in The Electric Eel), bikes for loan, and in close proximity to the beaches, Ruschmeyer’s is the perfect summer spot - 161 Second House Road, Montauk

Hideaway - Another great place for casual waterfront dining The Hideaway is a family run restaurant  that specializes in Mexican Food. Hidden in Montauk’s Marina, the hideaway is a great place to escape the masses of Montauk. The fish tacos are must as is the fantastic offering of mojitos as well as draft beers.  Diamond Cove Marina , 364 West Lake Drive , 6686592

The Crows Nest - Located 1.5 miles East of Montauk The Crows Nest is an Inn as well as a restaurant.Open seasonally and emphasizing Long Islands local and fresh, organic fare with nightly firepits and sunset views The Crows Nest is fun, festive and beachy. My favorites are local little neck clams with white wine chorizo and parsely as well as the Dayboat Scallops, local asparagus and radishes. - 4 Old West Lake Drive Montauk, NY 11954 631 668 2077
