Places to Stay

Sole East - Solé East Resort is a cool beach club type hotel housed in an American Tudor building with 60 renovated bungalow-like rooms and 7 garden cabana suites. Lush lawns, bamboo walkways and a DJ spinning tuning daily completes the beach club feel. To indulge your gastronomic palette The Backyard restaurant is inhouse serving healthy treats. About 5-minutes walk from Montauk’s village and beach Sole East is a hip little retreat with a great atmosphere. 90 Second House Road Montauk, NY

Montauk Beach House - The latest addition to Montauk’s hotel scene, Montauk Beach House is as slice of Miami decadence in Long Island. Only opening this season, Montauk Beach House is situated in the heart of Downtown Montauk, one block from the beach. MBH has a members only beach club which hopes to create an upmarket outdoor bar scene in the future. The Hotel’s interior is designed by Two Hats Bureau , an eclectic mix of European style with a nautical beach vibe - 55 South Elmwood Ave - Montauk, NY 11954

The Crows Nest Inn - Located 1.5 miles east of Montauk village The Crows Nest is a bit more off a hidden hideaway off the beaten track. With only 14 rooms, each with a private deck over looking Lake Montauk, The Crows Nest is quaint and simple with beautiful views and fantastic food served in it’s namesake restaurant. Within walking distance of Ditch Plains beach ( my favorite beach along with every other surfer in Montauk) The Crows Nest provides all the things to make your beach experience enjoyable including bikes and paddle boards - 4 Old West Lake Drive, Montauk, NY 11954

Ruschmeyers - Evocative of a nautical summer camp, Ruschmeyer’s was originally built in 1952 on three lush acres of lakeside woodland in Montauk. The recently renovated cabin-inspired guestrooms circle a central lawn known as The Magic Garden, with teepees, ping-pong tables and grills designed for both organized and spontaneous leisure. Ruschmeyer’s offers a range of activities from bicycling to bingo, paddle boarding and yoga, with balsa-wood planes and bubbles for the kids, along with a rotating series of musical performances, theater troupes and artists in residence. A modern take on the classic cabin, Standard Single rooms at Ruschmeyer’s feature cedar planked walls combined with Moroccan rugs and brass light fixtures. Looking onto the lawn and Magic Garden the 120 square foot Standard Single offers a queen size bed with a signature wicker headboard, full size bathroom, and an outdoor charcoal grill. 161 Second House Road, Montauk, NY 11954
